Basically it's someone who gets so obsessed with you, that they do freaky shit. Like, they start getting possessive - disturbingly so - and view your friends and family as obstacles or competition. So usually they go about murdering them, might try to murder you too, or lock you up in their cellar and construct a weird ass shrine in their closet. So, y'know, if you turn one of them down harshly, they won't take it well at all.

But I think even being nice would have adverse consequences in that situation. It might encourage them.
