[That only seemed half way promising. Then again, this man probably wouldn't care about who the next ruler of hell was if he hated demons. Probably. If worse came to worse, he could call Kevin should he be attacked.]

Well suffice to say, I know a bunch of demons who wish for me to choose their next ruler. Among other things. Troublesome things.

[He sighs, because really he did have more important things to worry about than that. Stupid Solomon...]

I do not quite know what to believe honestly. But, for now I see no reason to assume it is at least somewhat true. And besides, if they can bring me and Kevin here, than I ought to be able to convince them to bring a few others from home as well.

[Isaac, his uncle, Sean and Mycroft for sure. Sitri, Camio and even Dantalion. No... most of all, Dantalion.]

...well then I guess I will have to take everyone's word for it. I guess it is nice to be proven correct about there being no white light at the end of that tunnel.

...it was inherited, despite having nothing to do with me. I am a descendant of Solomon, King of Israel. He made contracts with 72 demons and befriended Lucifer and because of that, he has the right to elect their king.

And unfortunately, for some reason, that is my right as well. As useless as it is.

[He's going to leave out being Solomon's reincarnation for now. While William has accepted it somewhat, he still prefers to be seen as his own self.]

Well, that's the trick isn't it? To get them to give me what I want. But everyone has a price. It's just a matter of finding it.

[He narrowed his eyes at the photographers. He seemed to be ignoring the actual meat of the conversation fortunately.]

A light at the end of the tunnel, heaven, hell, some kind of after life. I never believed, though apparently heaven and hell are very real.

Those demons would all be banned as far as I know. Getting involved with humans is supposed to be highly forbidden. [Senkimaru tries to look nonchalant about this bit of information, but does he seem to take this a little more personal than one would expect? Because that impression would be right.]

Oh, so you intend to manipulate them? I wonder if they will fall for that.

Well, you can consider this some kind of afterlife. Funny how you are in doubt when you have contact to supernatural beings.

[Though if he's correct in his assumption, it's nice to have not been lied to for once.]

Perhaps. It depends on if I have anything to offer them. Which I do not at this moment. But that can change with time.

Well there are dozen other scientific explanations for what this place could be that have nothing to do with the after life. Really the most obvious explanation could be that they lied about us dying.

But I would rather not go into too many hypotheticals at the moment.

Am I? Who knows. [Though he raises an eyebrow.] What are the ones who want to be voted by you doing to you?

So you want to work until you have something to offer to them. I guess that's not that bad of a plan. Though if you manage that they might just try to capture you and use you.

Lying about it, huh? [He liked that possibility. That meant the others were somewhat safe, at least.]

They're annoying. They come into school and play about all day. And they are pushy, even though I was perfectly clear about the fact that I would not vote for any of them.

Though, at least they have some interest in keeping me safe. It's other demons that have tried to kill me. Some of them hate Solomon very much. Otherwise just want me to vote for the right party and are... forceful.

[Forceful as in trying to steal his soul.]

...I would hope that is not the case. But then again, I will admit, I need to gather a little more data before my plans become concrete.

It is one possibility. Probably the best one. Though the grimest answer isn't one I can dismiss out of hand, we can't prove that either.

Would they have more success if they were less pushy?

Sounds kinda unwarranted when you have almost nothing to do with the guy. [Then again, in his own case they had feared he was the second coming of Shutendouji, though at least they didn't try to kill him for it in his case.]

You sound really down to earth. I bet you couldn't believe it the first time you came in contact with demons, huh?

No they would not. I will not vote for anyone and that is final. The politics of Hell have nothing to do with me.

[Some of it was pure stubbornness. But otherwise, in his mind, how could he fairly vote for the ruler of Hell? He, a mere human who knew nothing of it's workings?]

It is! It completely is! And the one time I spoke with him, Solomon was no help at all!

[He blinked a little then. No one had ever quite... said that of him. Arrogant? Cold? Smart? Poor? Sure. But down to earth?]

No. I still don't. And I... admittedly chose to believe they were lying for a long time. But, when they keep popping up in my face like that, it becomes hard to. Besides, anything can be explained by science, so if I just look at it that way, it's perfectly acceptable that demons exist.

Well, you could also just give a random demon a vote, perhaps they'll leave you alone afterwards.

[In a way, wasn't he thinking too much about this? Perhaps they would relax afterwards and really leave him be.]

Isn't that guy dead already? How did you speak to him?

[Granted, for reasons stated above, he couldn't really see him as cold. More like he was trying to handle those crazy situations in a fairly reasonable manner.]

Is it hard for you if things are unreasonable?

...that would be equally foolish though. Just mindlessly casting a vote without fully understanding their positions fully.

[Yes over thinking it a bit and also refusing to deal with the problem. That and well, he actually likes the jerks despite what he says.]

No doubt. If I met that someone from the past who is connected to my current fate, I wouldn't know how I would react.

Regardless, I have said I will not choose and I mean it. Let them figure it out for themselves.

Well, your fate is your own, regardless of what people tell you. Granted, when I mean fate, it's only a figure of speech.

[He heard one of the camera men call out, waving at them.]

I'm not sure if you're just a worry-wart or simply too nice, but you have given way too much thought into that.

[He'd probably call him stupid as well, but William has shown already that he's actually pretty far away from that.]

As the head of a clan, I can't really agree with that. My fate isn't just my own. What I do and what my ancestors have done will affect a lot of people.

I think so. I should also find my butler and see what he's up to. I suspect some ladies might be terrorizing him.
